(History&Garden)]

(History&Garden)]

Went to Kitano Shrine near Koishikawa Korakuen Garden. This shrine has related to the historical Shogun Yoritomo Minamoto. So it has been here for more than 1000 years here. Kitano Shrine has different name, which is “COW SHRINE”.You can see apricot trees in the shrine grounds.
This stone was legendary told that the Shogun Yoritomo Minamoto had sat on.
This shrine has a another name as “The Cow Shrine”. One day the Shogun had a strange dream. The legend had told that a cow, which put Mr. Michizane Sugawara on, appeared and Mr. Sugawara said that a dream of the Shogun would come true. This is the beginning of The Cow Shrine.
A beautiful apricot.
There is a Koisikawa Korakuen Garden 10min walk from Kitano shrine. The garden was used to be a samurai residence. Now it opened to pubulic. There are apricots in there. Worth to see them.
Apricots and wild duck. I could enjoy many kind of apricots here.
I have no idea what kind of bird is it. It had been drying its wing.
Yellow daffodils were pretty. Looking foward to coming here again in 2012.
Entrance of ex Yasuda’s Residence Garden
I would like to introduce for you to Kyu Yasuda Residence Garden (Ex Yasuda’s Residence Garden). It is located right next to the Ryougoku Kokugikan(the Ryougoku Sumo Arena).
Ryougoku Kokugikan is a place for historical Sumo wrestling.
I went there two times, Dec 10 2011 and Mar 7 2012.
(Mr.) Munesuke Honjho who was a feudal load in Edo era owned this place. He had a stepsister who was a mother of (Mr.) Tsunayoshi Tokugawa, 5th general shogun, (Mrs.) Keishoinn.
Keishoinn was a nobleman’s concubine.
Munesuke Honjho was born in 1629. It was age that a feudal load Iemitsu Tokugawa ruled Japan.Luckily he had a stepsister in the power circle, he had been promoted one by one. By the age 64, he got 40 million USD wages. The garden started to build in end of 1680.Zenjiro Iwasaki who was a founder of Yasuda Zaibatsu(a financial combine) once owned this place.
It is free to get in. Open by 16:30 everyday.

(History&Garden)]
We had snow this morning. Everything around us turned into white before noon. So I went to Hamarikyu Garden at Shiba, Minato-ku. Hama Rikyu, the garden of a feudal lord's residence during the Edo Period (1603-1867), is one of Tokyo’s most attractive landscape gardens. It is located alongside Tokyo Bay, next to the futuristic Shiodome district. It was a place that the duties were to manage the falcon hunting grounds and to prepare for falcon hunting by the shogun. Why don't you take a look at following pictures and feel snow at the Garden in Tokyo.
