春の花前線（世田谷区・羽根木公園＆旧東海道編） 2012年3月3日

「白加賀」という品種。

肉厚の花びらが湧き出るように咲き誇る。
A kind called ”White Kaga”.

今年は寒気の影響で梅の開花が遅い。平均して一ヶ月程度の遅延である。都内でも毎年2月には梅まつりが開催されるが、今年は開花前に祭りが終わってしまった。近所の梅も2分咲程度だ。そこで梅の名所に出かけてこの目で確認してみた。場所は世田谷区梅ヶ丘にある羽根木公園。ここには700本程度の梅の木が集まっている。 梅開花調査：2012年3月3日場所：世田谷区羽根木公園結果：2分～2.5分咲。特に白加賀と呼ばれる品種は満開である。予想：遅咲き早咲きを含め、全体が見頃になるのはあと7～10日程度かかるだろう。 

The bloom of a Japanese apricot is slow under the influence of the cold weather this year. It delayed for about one month on the average. Although a Japanese apricot festival will be held also in a metropolitan area in February every year, the festival has finished before the bloom this year. So I went to the famous place of a Japanese apricot in Tokyo and it checked by my eyes. Hagegi-park in Setagaya ward has more than 600 apricot trees. I am expecting it must tell me something.  Date: March 3 2012Place: Hagegi-park in SetagayaResult: Percentage of bloom is 20-25%.

Forecast: It will take 7 to 10 days to bloom entire trees in the park.

旧東海道は江戸時代の幹線道路だ。旧東海道を西に進み目黒川を超える所に品川橋がある。品川橋の側に「荏原神社」がある。1300年の歴史を持つ神社だという。ふと見ると神社の入り口に美しいピンクの花が咲き乱れていた。周囲の人に尋ねると「桜の一種」だという。普通は1月末までに咲くらしいが今年は1ヶ月遅れということだ。偶然に出会えた桜の色は今までに見たことのない美しいピンク色だった。

Old Tokaido road is a trunk road of the Edo period, some 100 years before. Go to Old Tokaido road west, you will find the Shinagawa bridge is located at the Meguro river.  
The Shinagawa bridge side has the "Ebara shrine." It is said that it is a shrine with more than 1300 years of history.
A beautiful Pink flower tree had bloomed at the entrance of the shrine. 
I asked someone what kind of tree is it?
And guy told me that it is "a kind of a cherry tree."  
I have never seen anything like this before.
Although it will usually bloom by the end of January, but it bloomed one-month delay this year.
The color of the cherry was the beautiful pink which has not been seen until now.
